CCH Contract Negotiator is a new tool from CCH Workflow Solutions which revolutionises the way contract
negotiation is undertaken. In most cases when a contract is created it is created using a word file. This file is sent from one party to another for review, generally by email, track changes are made and the file is sent back. A process which is repeated throughout the negotiation.
The problem with handing negotiations in this way means that as more changes are made by both sides the
document begins to look very messy. With so many track changes you can often forget why a clause was decided upon in the first place! Sending a contract in a word file via email can also be unsecure. A mistyped keystroke could mean a contract ending up in the wrong hands. This is where CCH Contract Negotiator is different.
CCH Contract Negotiator provides a secure, collaborative, web based platform which enables contributors to easily control the lifecycle process of a contract, while ensuring the integrity and auditability of the content.
With CCH Negotiator the contract is loaded into your own private ASP, each party is given access to the site via their own secure log on and password. When a clause is changed, it is updated live within the contract and if requested, notification of the change can be emailed to all the users involved in the negotiation of the contract. If no notification is selected the system will still file the change into the database with the change made by the contributor, the date and time it was made, and the name of the contributor who made that change.
